Placentia Parish Activities Society (PPAS), incorporated in 2022, began with a mission to preserve Sacred Heart Church and its parish community. Despite closure by the Archdiocese, efforts continue to repurpose the historic site for community use. In 2024, PPAS expanded its focus to include preservation, outreach, and cultural programming. Sacred Heart Church, dating to 1889, features 36 stained-glass windows and an 80-foot bell tower. PPAS aims to create a community hub, welcome centre, and garden sanctuary—celebrating heritage while supporting growth, inclusion, and connection throughout the Placentia area.
